Remembrance of a Mourning Day

In this universe, where we live at, thousands of problems will we grapple to the front. Some cases such as natural disaster; flood, earthquake, fire forest, eruption are going to be faced by human beings, wherever they are. That’s a life, people have to be struggling to face it down.

A couple of days ago, a serious and mourning day shocked the whole life students in college. A clean yet turned to be a second-hand condition of bus in my home college, where this kind of vehicle is being used as the main transport for students from and to campus, faced a nerve-wrecking tragedy.

My campus’s premises is on the slope of the hills. Let’s talk a bit about my campus first. It resembles to some old buildings in the UK, rumors said that the architect was coming from that land, hence the curve or the style is quite the same as a whole. Admittedly, this location has miles of distance, far-off destination to rely mainly on foot, hence the coming of buses can be the solution offered by board of campus.

Located at the 2-mile from campus, the pool bus with its operational schedule amounting to 12 or 13 respectively are ready to rejuvenate students, added with its pop and sometimes a local song inside, its atmosphere makes the students become ‘cheer’ or ‘have lust’ where they are in. The nuance is backed with the typical transport in Padang city, filled with current music and epic adorned inside the body, the bus in my university gives its own space to that.

Well!!! let’s forget about the story about the university and the bus first.

Talking then about the incident, it was the super bad day experienced by students who get used to taking a bus heading to and from campus. One of those got a stuck brake and hit a fence which eventually fell into a not-far-valley next to the main entrance, but had a fatal effect.

Three students are reported died and the driver as well, 15 get the heavy injuries and scars; even reported experiencing some fractures in the legs, and the rest are the light ones.

I was totally agape and not knowing what I would do then. As a person who relies mainly on the bus, I was shivering, remembered If I was in that position.

I hope the bus can be changed into a proper one, and I hope the family of the victims can accept the sparkle of life God gave, and I hope they become patient in this accident.

My prayers go to all of the victims.
